Tradition has told us that any man who has divorced cannot be a pastor or continue
in the pastoral ministry.
This view is held despite the reality that it is contrary to Scripture. God
is in the restoring business. When He restores you, your restoration is full, or complete.
Too many in the church today treat divorced Christians as though they were "second-class
citizens". No wonder, so many are hurting, discouraged and turn away from the church. It is just as true, that
there are many men who ought to be in pulpits today, post-confession, and desire to serve the Lord, but are limited to "secondary
services" and not permitted to preach. Nowhere in the bible does it support these ideas.
